This is an excellent product for muscle spasms. My massage therapist recommended it and it works great. I take it for muscle tension and stress and it makes me feel better, relaxes skeletal muscle, and relieves stress. I have taken Flexeril in the past for skeletal muscle tension and this keeps me from having to take Flexeril, (a very strong skeletal muscle relaxant that can make you very sleepy and sluggish and effects last too long). I can’t even remember if they worked. Well, since then, I have been diagnosed with insomnia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, (ugh). I take it as directed on the bottle. Once you get it in your system it is calming which in turn relieves skeletal muscle tension and muscle spasms. Along with an occasional deep muscle massage, I feel much better. I have taken the antidepressants in the past and felt brain-dead/blob. This works and I still feel emotion when needed and the tension is relieved. It takes a couple of days to get going and being consistent in taking this product is the key. I don’t have to take it all the time though and that is a plus.
